Starfish swimmers shine at Nerul championship

Swimmers of Starfish Club won 5 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze at Nerul Gymkhana Championship.

Nishitha Shetty won individual championship under 6 category with 3 gold & 1 bronze 

Aaditya Ghag won individual championship in boys under 8 category with 1 gold 3 silver 

Aayushi Akhade won 1 gold 2 silver 1 bronze 

Riyan Narote won 1 silver 3 bronze 

Neel Vaidya won 1 silver & 1 bronze 

Gargi shitkar won 1 silver 2 bronze

The contestants received guidance by Kailash Akhade, Narendra Pawar and Manoj Kamble.

Thane kids win accolade at UIPM 2016 Biathle / Triathle World Championships

Sawar Akuskar and Vedant Gokhale, of Starfish Sports Academy, Thane have won gold medals in an open competition  “UIPM 2016 Biathle / Triathle World Championships – Sarasota, Florida (USA)” under 11 years in their respective Girls and Boys category.

A special felicitation ceremony was organised by commissioner of Thane, Sanjeev Jaiswal, where all the participant athletes from Thane - Sawar Akuskar, Vedant Gokhale, Mayank Chaphekar, Kaustubh Malbari, Jay Ekbote, Yash Pawshe, Mayuresh Dhawde, Kimaya Kajrolkar and their coaches Kailash Akhade and Narendra Pawar were welcomed and honoured by him in presence of the youth icon, supermodel, Actor, Sports Promotor and the Triathlon Ironman of India for 2015 - Milind Soman, Additional Commissioner Ashokkumar Rankhamb, Deputy Commissioner, Sanjay Nipane, Deputy Commissioner & Public Relations officer of Thane Municipal Corporation Sandeep Malvi, Deputy Public Relations Officer Mahesh Rajderkar and Sports Officer Meenal Palande.
