Odissi dance is an epitome of fluid grace, lyrical beauty, sculptural sensuality and deep spirituality with curvaceous movements, sculptured poses and impeccable rhythm. Complemented by soulful music, this dance of lyrical beauty casts a spell on spectators. Young talented Madhulita Mohapatra has carved a niche as one of the leading Odissi exponents in south India.

A graded artiste of Doordarshan& an empanelled artiste of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), she is admired & applauded by the connoisseurs & critics alike, for her profound artistry and her innate abhinaya quality. She is the recipient of the prestigious IIDF & BCKA Yuva Kala Pratibha awards and has performed extensively in India & abroad. She has been practising, teaching and promoting Odissi for the past 20 years. Under her direction, her Odissi dance troupe, Nrityantar Dance Ensemble has fast emerged as one of the most sought-after Odissi troupes and is invited by major art festivals in India & overseas. Madhulita a native of Bhawanipatna, Odisha, fought many odds to pursue her passion for dance and set up her own dance academy, Nrityantar Dance Academy of Performing Arts.
